  • Books on aromatherapy and making your own stuff

There are hundreds of books on aromatherapy and making your own herbal products at home.  I've listed a few that I like.  I'll add more as time permits.  The links will take you to Amazon.com.

The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Essential Oils: The Complete Guide to the Use of Oils in Aromatherapy and Herbalism (Illustrated Encyclopedia) - Great book.  Nice pictures, lots of info an a large variety of oils.

The Essential Oils Book: Creating Personal Blends for Mind & Body

The Aromatherapy Companion: Medicinal Uses/Ayurvedic Healing/Body-Care Blends/Perfumes & Scents/Emotional Health & Well-Being (Herbal Body) - Includes a lot of info about aromatherapy and some recipes.

Advanced Aromatherapy: The Science of Essential Oil Therapy - Attention aromatherapy nerds.  This is the book for you.  It's all science.  If you're not an aromatherapy nerd or a chemist, this is not the book for you.

Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit: Restoring Emotional and Mental Balance with Essential Oils - I love this book.  It doesn't cover all of the oils, but it's the first book I read about restoring balance and I really like it.

The Herbal Home Spa: Naturally Refreshing Wraps, Rubs, Lotions, Masks, Oils, and Scrubs (Herbal Body) - If you like Lush, you'll like this book.  It includes recipes for many body products, most of which require refrigeration or have a very short life.  They won't smell as stinky, though.  If you like stink, keep going to Lush.
