  • About Pepo Park
  • Essential oils are oils derived from plants. They have therapeutic qualities. The science of using essential oils for healing is called aromatherapy. Our interest in using and studying essential oils and our own experience with essential oils to help with various ailments is what lead Pepo Park to use them in our products.

The properties of oils we commonly use:  (this list is not exhaustive)
Lavender is widely touted as a “cure all”. The most common use of this oil is for relaxation as it is calming and soothing.
Citrus oils are generally uplifting and leave you feeling refreshed.
Lemongrass oil is good for headaches and lethargy. This may be why our lemongrass soap is our most popular.
Tea tree oil is another “cure all”. It is antiseptic, antibacterial, and
antifungal. It’s also used for skin problems like acne.
Peppermint oil is refreshing and stimulating. It helps relieve mental fatigue.
Rosemary oil is another oil that helps with mental fatigue and works as an anti-depressant.

There seems to be a theme: Uplifiting, refreshing, stimulating.
I wonder if it’s because we’re based in the cloudy Pacific Northwest? To learn more about essential oils, check our list of recommended reading.
